Phase I grading and architectural plans were completed and submitted in early 2017. Grading will begin as soon as the Mendocino County Planning and Building department issues the permit. We anticipate this to happen in July or August.
In the past several months, in addition to securing all the necessary government agency permits for Phase 1, the IIP&E project team continues to work on the design of the main hall of Phase II, as well as the dining hall and the library. After careful consideration of the feedback of the three design options previously presented, a hybrid scheme incorporating desired elements of the different designs was chosen to proceed into the next design phase — the schematic design. We are nearing the end of the schematic design stage for Phase II’s main hall.
