The IIPE project received the unanimous support of the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors on Nov 14th, 2016 during a 2-hr long public hearing. The project was initially heard by the County’s Planning Commission in October, 2016 and had received 6-0 vote in favor of some changes made to the project. However that decision was appealed by a neighboring family, and thus went before the Board of Supervisors, who ultimately concurred with the earlier decision and rejected the appeal.
To build off of this achievement, before the end of 2016, the complete set of Phase 1 plans will be submitted to the County’s Buildings and Planning Department. Grading is anticipate to begin next spring (2017.)
For Phase 2, currently three schemes are being developed, from which one will be chosen to proceed to the next stage of design.
